SECOND CASE OF MONKEYPOX IN JAMAICA

July 24, 2022 | By Colin O. Jarrett | A second case of the monkeypox virus has been confirmed in Jamaica.

Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton says the Jamaican case is an important one involving a male who recently returned to the island from New York in the United States.

The patient is now in isolated and is in stable condition.

The case is being investigated and contact tracing has started.
