Shahine Robinson’s Closed Casket headed for JLP Headquarters

Books Of Condolences Opened
As tributes pour in for sitting Labour and Social Security Minister Shahine Robinson who passed away on May 29th., there will be three opportunities before her official funeral to file past her closed casket and sign books of condolences.
You can pay your respect at St. Ann’s Bay, today June 11, in Ocho Rios on June 12th at the St. John’s Anglican Church and on June 16th at the Party Headquarters of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) .
Hon. ‘Babsy’ Grange broke down in Parliament yesterday June 11, as she paid tribute to her Cabinet colleague. The PM Holness led government and Opposition paid tribute to the Labour & Social Security Minister who died from cancer on the 29th of May after 2 years of illness. She was just 66 years of age at her death.
PM Holness hailed Minister Robinson for her leadership.
“She was like a sister to me … if you don’t go into politics to serve do not go … I visited her a few days before she passed.” Concluded a sad looking Holness.
Minister Audley Shaw said: “Jamaica has lost a faithful Servant. she contributed much to the political development. … a good political representative, loyal & faithful.” said Minister Shaw, MP.
Opposition Leader Dr. Peter Phillips said of Shahine Robinson:
“She crossed political lines and was seen at funerals of her opponents in his party … a formidable representative” asserted Dr. Peter Phillips.
Minister Grange hailed Robinson: “She had sound leadership qualities … we have lost a great leader” said a tearful Olivia “Babsy” Grange, MP.
There was a long line up in St. Ann’s Bay at the Anglican Church Hall, as many turned out and patiently awaited their turn to file past the closed casket of Minister Shahine Robinson, and to sign the condolence book.
Three days have been put aside as official days of mourning with 5 days of public viewing.
May her soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine on her.
A date has not been announced for her official funeral.
