“STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON” TELLS THE STORY OF N.W.A.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The actor who plays Ice Cube in the movie “Straight Outta Compton” looks just like him. He should: O’Shea Jackson Junior is Ice Cube’s son. Jason Mitchell had to lose his New Orleans accent and gain weight to play Eazy-E. The actor who plays Dr. Dre, Corey Hawkins, had to fight to win the role because no one believed he had the street cred. That’s because Hawkins went to Juilliard and recently did Shakespeare on Broadway. The three hung out a lot together so they’d have the same chemistry as N-W-A “Straight Outta Compton” opens in theatres this weekend.
