SUGE KNIGHT HOSPITALIZED

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Suge (SHUG) Knight was supposed to be in court in Los Angeles yesterday — but ended up in a hospital, instead. The former head of Death Row Records was taken by ambulance for treatment for an undisclosed medical issue. No word on his condition. His attorney David Kenner says bailiffs and a judicial officer told him that Knight had stomach problems — and was taken for treatment before his attorney had the chance to see him. Knight was due in court for an arraignment on a criminal threats charge. He is in jail awaiting trial on charges of murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run. He struck two men with his pickup truck last month, killing one of them. His attorney says Knight was trying to escape an attack when he accidentally struck the men.
