Super Beagle covers Ed Sheeran

Iconic reggae artiste Super Beagle has scored another hit with his cover of Ed Sheeran Thinking Out Loud.

The song has been a hit on FM radio, and the singer is planning to record an accompanying music video in coming weeks.

Thinking Out Loud is also receiving airplay across the region in places like St Lucia, Trinidad, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and the Bahamas.

Ed Sheeran, whose original version of Thinking Out Loud climbed several of Billboard charts and won numerous awards, said:

“I thought it was a simple but beautiful song that we could introduce to the Jamaican and reggae fans across the world if we gave it a reggae sound. We honestly thought that the ladies especially would love it, so I hooked up with my producer and we made the magic happen. It is not a song that one should overdo, but just to relax and let the vocals flow,” Super Beagle said.

Super Beagle’s single, Dust A Sound Boy, was sampled by American rapper Kanye West in 2012 and went on to sell over two million copies.

The artiste who recently returned to Jamaica after living in the US for several years, will soon release a new album called Heart of Love, to be distributed by VP Records.

The project was self-produced via his 20-year-old record label, Fresh Breed productions. A single, Mama Cry, featuring Terror Fabulous, was already from the album. It has been getting favourable rotation worldwide. The veteran will be embarking on a European tour to promote the album.
