Ultra-low cost airline celebrates launch of second Jamaican destination with inaugural flight from Toronto, Canada
Kingston, Jamaica – December 9, 2021 – Swoop, Canada’s leading ultra-low-cost airline yesterday launched new non-stop flights between Toronto, Canada and Kingston, Jamaica. The airline’s inaugural flight WO646 departed Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 3:00 PM and arrived at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) at 7:35 PM local time.
“We are thrilled to expand our service between Toronto and Jamaica with the launch of our non stop flights to Kingston,” said Bert van der Stege, Head of Commercial and Finance, Swoop. “Our travellers have embraced our ultra-low fares to Jamaica and whether it is to connect with friends and relatives or explore the vibrancy of the city, we are pleased to be offering this increased connectivity to the island’s capital.”
Swoop’s affordable non-stop service between Toronto and Kingston will operate twice weekly and joins the airline’s existing service to Montego Bay. In celebration of this new route, Swoop’s Head of Commercial and Finance, Bert van der Stege was joined by local dignitaries and partners for an inaugural ceremony upon arrival at Norman Manley International Airport.
