Ocho Rios, Jamaica- New Year’s is always a special time for Couple’s Tower Isle as the hotel goes all out on the elegance and the food. This year’s NYE party was no different as the hotel finally returned to the buffet-style serving and patrons dined under the under the moonlit night while rocking to a live Jazz band.
Corporate Executive Chef, Stefan Spath said this year’s event was focused more on adding the same amount of food stations for guests while also ensuring that there was adequate space to ensure social distancing and safety.
This year’s event was a resounding success as Couple’s Tower Isle is known for the delicious meals created by the kitchen staff.
Among the meals prepared this year are-
Spath noted that for the first time since the pandemic started buffets have returned.
“There was a nice buffet flow. We are known for our food and our service and of course with Covid that has thrown us a curveball. One of the big things on NYE and our anniversaries as well, we weren’t able to do buffets for such a long time, it’s only just started again that we can do buffets again so guests can help themselves,” he said.
“We wanted to do this in a Covid-safe environment. So we used up the entire dining area, there were a lot of staff ensuring that guests are sanitised properly and we enforced the masks at the buffet line and the utensils were changed regularly,” Spath added.
The upscale Couples Tower Isle is located a few minutes outside of Ocho Rios. The resort is adults-only all-inclusive with its own private beach and several plunge pools on the property. This resort is unique for a particular feature absent from other hotels, it has its own secure private island which allows sunbathing and also wedding ceremonies.
While the hotel is known for many of its offerings, it’s the food that keeps its guest coming back! The hotel has a 4.5/5 rating for its food and hospitality!
