The 9th Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles

June 16, 2022 |  Colin O. Jarrett |  The 9th Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles ended on Friday with US President Joe Biden announcing a series of agreements with countries in the region on economic co-operation, health care, climate change and migration.

However these recommendations come with little fresh investment by Washington.

Many economists have said the impact of a new migration unveiled on Friday is particularly suspect as the Mexican President and the leaders of three Central American countries that produce much of the irregular migration to the US all declined invitations to the Summit.

The event wrapped-up with three official stakeholder for a occurring at the same time to promote greater dialogue between the region’s government and its people and businesses.
