The Atlanta Braves fire general manager
The Atlanta Braves have fired general manager Frank Wren less than 24 hours after being eliminated from the National League playoff race. The Braves made the playoffs three times in 15 seasons with Wren, who drew heavy criticism for the big-money contracts of Dan Uggla and centre-fielder B-J Upton. John Hart will serve as the team’s interim G-M.
