June 6, 2022 | Colin O. Jarrett | The police in Trinidad and Tobago are investigating an incident where the Couva Bank in the twin-island Republic was robbed.
The police; who are stationed in close proximity to the bank, were contacted by bank officials shortly after 8AM Tuesday and informed of the forced entries.
The Bank said an investigation has been launched into the incident and that staff are co-operating fully with the authorities.
Bandits robbed Republic Bank in Couva.
They dug a tunnel as it appears, over the long weekend and entered the bank. The bank is located opposite the Couva Police station and the robbery was discovered this morning by bank officials.
