The New Coronavirus

Breaking News:

As the New Coronavirus takes root with 42, 500 world wide, said to be infected and over 1,000 dead.

A second Canadian charter flight is being arranged to extract stranded Canadians who want to be taken home.

Deaths

It has been reported that 97 deaths have occured today. The largest one day reported death toll from the new corona virus.

Internationally

There seems to be a stem in infections world wide. As the race is on in earnest for a vaccine which cannot come too soon.

Quarantine

Those returning will be put in isolation and observed for at least 14 days as is dictated by WHO protocol. The World Health Organization (WHO). This is the time the virus takes to get fully blow.

Jamaica

In Jamaica with a population estimated to be about 2.5 to 3 million mostly dark skinned people of mixed race. There is one suspected case which has been placed in isolation as per protocol.

This case is not confirmed. There are 78 other persons as reported by Ministry Of Health (MOH) officials who have travelled to China or back recently.

We watch this virus and its march across the world. There is concern that cruise ships are a great source of spreading this virus. The confined cabins makes fertile ground for personal contact between individuals. Droplet infections is believed to be the way the virus will spread.
