Tonight belongs to international reggae dancehall act Spragga Benz. The deejay, who has been making  a big name for himself from acting, is expected to get a standing ovation with the premiere of Second Chance movie. This will be at the Carib Cinema in Cross Roads.

Spragga Benz, who became a household name on the streets, 20 years ago, as Wayne, (the character he played in Shottas), will now play David a qualified rastafarian.

In an interview with Vision Caribbean TV, Spragga Benz explains that “This will be a red carpet affair starting at 7:00 pm, with the movie at 8:00 pm.

This Second Chance movie is quite different from Shottas which is laced with gangsterism. Both movies are action-packed, but you are likely to leave Second Chance hoping to redeem yourself because almost everyone would love to get a second chance in life.”

David, a qualified rastafarian hopes to land a job in a US corporate office, but he faces discrimination. Frustrated, he decides to join old school friends involved in crime.

Luckily, at the brink of death he draws upon his upbringing and spirituality. This second chance has saved him and others in the movie.

Directed by Jamaican-born.US- based Cleon James, other characters include Merlisa Determined, Jodi Covington, Supa Twitch, sound system selector Tony Matterhorn, Barry Hype and Jhonn De La Puente.

The event will be hosted by Nikki Z and relayed to several countries, including United States, United kingdom, Canada, South Africa and Costa Rica.

Come Friday, July 22,  Second Chance will open to the public at Carib cinemas across the island.
