Totally Delicious Opens Ice Cream Park and Entertainment Destination in Old Harbour

The St. Catherine company is combining locally manufactured ice cream, recreation and live-event infrastructure as it broadens its business beyond baked goods.

Old Harbour, St. Catherine, Jamaica — Totally Delicious Company Limited has expanded its footprint in Old Harbour with an ice cream park and family entertainment destination, building on a major move into locally manufactured premium ice cream.

A New Family Destination in Old Harbour

The Totally Delicious Ice Cream Park opened on Jamaica’s Independence Day, August 6, according to information supplied to Vision Newspaper by StreetCred Jamaica. The company says the venue is designed for families, food, entertainment, celebrations, private functions, corporate events and brand activations.

The development follows Totally Delicious’ expansion into the ice cream market after nearly three decades in the baked-goods business.

Expanding Into Jamaican-Made Ice Cream

The Jamaica Observer reported in July that the company had launched 20 premium ice cream flavours after three years of research and product development. Company director and marketing manager Devaun Clarke told the Observer that the diversification represented the company’s biggest expansion in its nearly 30-year history.

The range includes traditional Jamaican favourites as well as flavours intended to distinguish the brand in the premium segment. The company’s Old Harbour development also includes recreational space, seating, children’s play facilities and an expanded restaurant, according to the Observer report.

StreetCred Jamaica said the park’s opening attracted patrons to sample the locally manufactured ice cream and experience the new venue.

Entertainment Takes Centre Stage

The opening weekend also placed the entertainment side of the development on display. “Under the Stars – Jokes N Jammins” brought comedy and live music to the venue, with a lineup that included Fancy Cat, Majah Hype, Kathy Grant, Lenn Hammond, Eric Donaldson and Christopher Martin with his band.

StreetCred Jamaica said Fancy Cat, an Old Harbour native, brought a strong local connection to the programme, while US-based comedian Majah Hype delivered an interactive performance. Jamaican singer Christopher Martin and his band closed the evening with a high-energy set.

The event had been publicly announced ahead of the opening by Jamaican media, including the Jamaica Star and Jamaica Observer, both of which identified the new Totally Delicious Ice Cream Park in Old Harbour as the venue.

StreetCred said the facility includes a sound stage and professional lighting intended to support concerts, live shows, corporate events and other productions.

A Broader Growth Strategy

The investment signals a broader strategy for Totally Delicious as it moves beyond its established bakery products. In its July report, the Jamaica Observer said the company was seeking multiple revenue streams through ice cream, the family park, restaurant and catering operations and its event venue.

Clarke also told the Observer that the company eventually wants wider supermarket distribution for its ice cream and a franchise network combining bakery and ice cream offerings, although the company’s immediate focus is strengthening its position in Jamaica.

For Old Harbour, the new park adds a locally based recreational and entertainment option to one of St. Catherine’s growing commercial areas while giving Totally Delicious a physical platform for its newest product category.
