Alveda King, a niece of the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King Junior, has been hired as a commentator for Fox News Channel.
The director of African-American Outreach at Priests for Life, is an anti-abortion activist who’s had political clashes with some of her uncle’s ex-associates.
King, who spoke at a 2010 rally in Washington organized by conservative commentator Glenn Beck, has said she’s been a Democrat and Republican, but now considers herself a Christian.
Roger Ailes, chairman and C-E-O of Fox News, says her “passion and mission for social change” will be a valuable contribution to the network.
