Venezuela’s oil exports in September were at their third highest level this year.

This is based on information from internal documents and tanker tracking data.

The OPEC-member nation’s oil exports were volatile earlier this year due to the lack of diluents requirement to produce exportable grades and unstable output amid processing outages and scarce drilling equipment.

A total of 40 cargoes departed from Venezuelan waters last month, carrying an average of just over 710,000 barrels per day of crude and fuel.

The state-run oil company PV-DSA says internal shipping documents showed Venezuela shipping 544,000 metric tonnes of byproducts mainly to China through regional hubs.
