Wally British let loose

Wally-British

YOUTUBE blogger-cum-comedian Wally British was applauded off the stage at Let Loose comedy show held inside the ballroom of the Pegasus hotel in New Kingston, on Sunday.

All throughout her long-winded set, she was the only one laughing at her rumblings in a dismal attempt at giving jokes. It reached a point where patrons became fed up with her lacklustre performance.

Ironically, Wally British’s performance was a reflection, of sorts, of the overall production, as the line-up did not live up to its two previous stagings. Even though there were moments of humour and great laughter stimulated by the other acts, they, at the same time, diluted the amusement with their drawn-out tomfoolery.

Interestingly, the performance of the night came from a surprise guest Prince Edwards.

Edwards, who was not included in the line-up, outperformed all others. The audience couldn’t get enough of him. He was the only act who earned an encore.

The sets on the 2015 renewal of Let Loose could have been more condensed. Had it been so, many of the acts would have come across as more impressive.

Although some of the popular acts were not at their best, Ity and Fancy Cat brought the curtain down on a long night to a lively end. Lemon, Donald ‘Iceman’ Anderson and Professor Nuts played a major role in bringing back the theme: “Laugh Loud Fi Di Summa”.
