Kenya President Discusses EAC Institutional Reforms with Secretary-General Veronica Nduva at State House
Nairobi, Kenya – President William Samoei Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to supporting the ongoing reforms within the East African Community (EAC), aiming to enhance efficiency and streamline trade across the region. During a meeting at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto discussed the EAC’s reform agenda with Secretary-General Veronica Nduva and her deputies, Annette Ssemuwemba and Andrea Aguer Ariik Malueth.
The reforms, which focus on institutional and systemic changes, are intended to lower the costs of trade and business within the EAC, which includes seven member states. At the core of the initiative is the digitization of the EAC’s operations, which President Ruto believes will provide the foundation for a modernized and efficient organization.
