16th Annual A Pink Pump Affair Honors Trailblazers in Community Advocacy

Los Angeles, CA – The 16th Annual A Pink Pump Affair, a prestigious charity event celebrating exceptional individuals in advocacy and community service, is set to take place on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, at the esteemed Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Spearheaded by multi-award-winning Civil Rights Attorney and Child Advocate, Areva Martin, in collaboration with the Special Needs Network (SNN), the event aims to recognize and applaud leaders who have significantly impacted their respective fields and communities.

This year’s event will be hosted by renowned national broadcast news anchor Pat Harvey from CBS 2 & KCAL 9 News, promising an inspiring afternoon that will evoke generosity in all attendees. The program will feature a silent auction hosted by the award-winning comedian and actress Kym Whitley, as well as a live fashion show presented by Summer Colony Living. Additionally, celebrity presenters are slated to join the event, adding to the evening’s allure.

Among the distinguished honorees is Tamera Mowry-Housley, a multi-talented Emmy Award-winning host, author, actress, producer, and entrepreneur, who will receive the Trailblazer Award for her outstanding contributions to promoting women’s health and wellness. Cristy Romero will be presented with the Self-Advocate Award for her courageous leadership in disability rights advocacy, highlighting the importance of self-advocacy in achieving equality and recognition for all.

Entrepreneur and autism self-advocate Michael Jett will be recognized with The Areva Martin Everyday Advocate Award for his pioneering work in retail innovation and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
