July 7, 2020 | By Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie |

“I can confirm that the police are investigating Lisa Hanna et al.”

Acting deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey

Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey speaking to the media in an interview.

The Office Of the Integrity Commission/Contractor General, has issued a report which has been critical of her stewardship. Lisa’s stewardship of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation since 2011 2013/4 or there about is under scrutiny. She then had some supervision over the St. Ann Municipal Corporation. It was one of the PNP controlled Municipal Corporations.

The report cited “Nepotism and cronyism” as it relates to millions in contracts by Lisa Hanna’s team or under her stewardship. Her husband Richard Lake and a worker of Ms. Lisa Hanna, MP have all been stained by this report.

Sanitize

Speaking over the weekend Dr. Peter Phillips used that platform to “sanitize” Lisa Hanna and others. Will deal with the others later. Lisa

Hanna is spokesperson for his upcoming general elections campaign. So Dr. Peter Phillips thinks he owes it to her to sanitize her. Many think that Dr. Peter Phillips is making a bad decision.

Stained

The others are MP Phillip Paulwell and MP Ian Hayles.

We note the fraud convictions in the Manchester Municipal Corporation. Five have been convicted. Sanjay Elliott has been fingered as the mastermind of this fraud. We expect them to be sentenced on July 27, 2020.

DPP

The public is not going to be fooled. The DPP has referred Lisa Hanna’s case to the police for further investigation.  The police will investigate to find out if there is any grounds to lay possible criminal charges for corruption against Lisa Hanna, her husband Richard Lake et al.

They have professed their innocence. We wish them all the best. We have no evidence more than what is presented and made public from the investigation by the Office Of the Contractor General/or Integrity Commission.

It is a public trust issue which could have serious implications.

Lisa Hannah’s Probe

The former Contractor General Derrick Harrison has broken his silence as to the delay that has given the impression that politics may be at play.

Derrick Harrison states:

“On the last day of July 2019 I left the Integrity Commission. “I retired from the Commission at the end of September 2019. On or about October 2019 I was contacted by police to ask if I was prepared to give a statement to which I agreed.

Two weeks ago I was again contacted by the police and again requested for him to give a statement in the Lisa Hannah matter.”
