AMERICAN IDOL – RANDY JACKSON
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Randy Jackson is leaving “American Idol.” Word of his departure comes from Fox and the company that produces the singing competition. His leaving means only Ryan Seacrest is left as an original cast member for the show, which has been on for 13 seasons. Jackson spent 12 of those first 13 years as a judge _ but last year served as a mentor to the hopefuls. Idol returns for another season in January.
