PHILADELPHIA — Some bad weather made for tough times for those attending a music concert in Philadelphia.

Torrential rain, thunder and lightning forced organizers of the Made in America festival to evacuate the parkway where the event was being staged.

Thousands slogged off to find cover until the bad weather passed.

Pharrell Williams and Kings of Leon were among the headliners who were to perform.

Bad weather also forced an early end to the Electric Zoo music festival on an island in New York’s East River.

Organizers pulled the plug on the Electric Zoo about six hours early, and fans hopped on ferries and shuttle buses to leave Randall’s Island.
