Condolences Pour in for Former T&T Prime Minister Basdeo Panday

Condolences have been pouring in for former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Basdeo Panday.  The Former Prime Minister passed away on January 1st. He was 90 years old.

Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness took to twitter to send his condolences.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the family, loved ones and people of Trinidad and Tobago following the passing of former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday. Former Prime Minister Panday leaves behind a vast legacy that will be treasured and honoured. I pray his family finds strength during this difficult time.”

Basdeo Pandy was Prime Minister of Trinidad from 1995 to 2021.  He was the first person of Indian decent to be PM of Trinidad.

Arrangements for the funeral have not been released at this time.
