Finalists Chosen for Greensboro Six Mural Project: Celebrating Civil Rights Pioneers

In a nationwide quest to honor the profound legacy of civil rights pioneers, The Greensboro Six, the search for the perfect artist has culminated in the selection of three distinguished finalists. Vincent Ballentine from Brooklyn, N.Y., Raman Bhardwaj from Greensboro, N.C., and Abel Jackson from Charlotte, N.C., have emerged as frontrunners from a pool of over 50 talented artists across the nation.

The initiative, led by Wyndham Rewards® in collaboration with the City of Greensboro and First Tee – Central Carolina, seeks to immortalize the pivotal moment when The Greensboro Six defiantly challenged segregation by playing at the whites-only Gillespie Golf Course in 1955.
