Glo Up and Raptors 905 Forge Dynamic Partnership to Elevate Emerging Talent

Toronto, ON – Glo Up, a distinguished development program specializing in media, creative arts, and entertainment education, is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Raptors 905, the esteemed NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors. This groundbreaking alliance underscores both organizations’ commitment to fostering emerging talent and providing unparalleled mentorship opportunities.

In an unprecedented move, Glo Up and Raptors 905 joined forces to host a captivating student creative competition. Participants, consisting of Glo Up’s film and photography students, were paired with Raptors 905 players to conceptualize and execute engaging promotions and social media campaigns. Each team, comprising three Raptors 905 players and a mini Glo Up production crew, showcased their creativity and talent in this unique endeavor.

The competition saw a total of fifteen participants, including Glo Up’s supervising graduates and executives and staff from Raptors 905, coming together to nurture innovation and excellence in the fields of media, entertainment, and sports development.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Courtney Charles, Vice President of Basketball and Franchise Operations at Raptors 905, who played a pivotal role in spearheading this collaboration. Charles, whose journey from intern to executive within the organization is a testament to dedication and perseverance, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership’s potential to empower aspiring professionals.

The success of all three supervising graduates in fulfilling their graduation internship requirements through Glo Up further highlights the program’s effectiveness in preparing aspiring professionals for success in their chosen fields.
