Jamaican Canadian Politician Mitzie Hunter Campaigns in Scarborough Ahead of June 2 Ontario Election

May 15, 2022 | Jamaican Canadian politician Mitzie Hunter got some support from ex veteran broadcaster and new Member of Parliament Marci Ien on Saturday.  The MPP was hosting an appreciation BBQ in her riding of Scarborough Guildwood.  Marci Ien, MP and current Minister for Women, Gender, Equality and Youth was a special guest at the event.

The MPP for the Scarborough Guildwood riding is seeking re election for the third consecutive term.

Mitzie Hunter was first elected into parliament in a by election in 2013 and has maintained her seat ever since. The Ontario MPP served as Minister of Education from 2014 – 2018 in former Premier Kathleen Wynne’s cabinet.

Ontario residents head to the polls on June 2nd to cast their votes.
