WASHINGTON _ A judge who convicted singer Chris Brown‘s bodyguard of punching a man outside a Washington hotel last year has set a new sentencing date in the case.

Christopher Hollosy is set to be sentenced Dec. 16. During a hearing Friday, D.C. Superior Court Judge Patricia Wynn also said she would consider his attorney’s request that the conviction be thrown out or for a new trial.

Both Hollosy and Brown were arrested after the incident in 2013. Hollosy told police he punched the man after he tried to enter Brown’s tour bus. But the man said Brown and Hollosy punched him when he tried to get in a photo with Brown.

Hollosy was convicted of misdemeanour assault. Brown pleaded guilty to misdemeanour assault and was sentenced to time served.
