KENDRICK LAMAR SAYS THANKS TO TAYLOR SWIFT

ATLANTA — Kendrick Lamar appreciates the love from Taylor Swift. She recently told Rolling Stone she listens to Lamar’s music to change her mood from “victimized” to “awesome.”

She said her go-to song is Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle.”

Lamar says he’s grateful to hear that Swift likes what he does. He says people try to lock down hip-hop as being for one particular listener, when really it’s for all people.

He says he appreciates Swift for not only supporting his music but hip-hop culture.
