Major Drain Work, on Mannings Hill Road in Jamaica W.I.
A very busy roadway is now closed in the vicinity of Constant Spring Grove, Kingston 8, St. Andrew to enable waste water drain to be constructed. A fording there is in need of rehabilitation. The problem is a 10 inches water main, other smaller pipes, telephone and other underground cables in the way … causing a headache for crews excavating the drainage. Traffic is diverted and closure is estimated for 90 days.
We hope engineering problems will be solved quickly, so road can be reopened soon.
