Mos Def And Marvin Gaye’s Music Are Being Combined For New Project
Inside his series of collabos that never were, Producer Amerigo Gazaway brings together Brooklyn MC Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and soul legend Marvin Gaye in a never-before joint project aptly titled “Yasiin Gaye”. The album encompasses deconstructed samples of Gaye’s Motown classics where Gazaway re-orchestrates the instrumentation into new productions within a similar framework. He then meticulously laces Mos Def’s raps and Gaye’s deep vocals over new arrangements.
