Police say tourist from Texas drowns during beach vacation in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica(AP) _ Authorities say an American tourist has drowned while swimming at a beach in eastern Jamaica.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force on Monday identified the dead man as 36-year-old Harold Fox of Houston, Texas.

Police say Fox encountered difficulties while swimming at Bamboo Beach in the parish of St. Mary.

Authorities have recovered his body. It was not immediately clear when he arrived on the island.
