TASHA T PERFORMS AT BROTT MUSIC EDUCATION CONCERT
RasVibe Records recording artist also known as the Musical Ambassador Tasha T participated in the Brott Music Education Concert that was held at the Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, November 18, 2015. She performed with the National Academy Orchestra and played the role of the narrator that focused on the revered and historical story of the Underground Railroad.
During her performance, Tasha T delivered a soul-stirring rendition of Bob Marley’s “Redemption song” that was a big hit with the audience. The event was produced by the highly respected Canadian music conductor Boris Brott after whom the event is named.
“This was my first time performing with an orchestra; it was an amazing experience. I am truly humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be able to incorporate my style of music in a production of this nature. I’m also pleased that the students who attended the event were able to learn about the Underground Railroad. I believe that they will now have a greater understanding of some of the struggles that black people endured during slavery,” said Tasha T. The Brott Music Education Concert has certainly enriched Tasha T’s musical experience in 2015, which has been a fantastic and successful year.
