“We are thrilled to bring back TD JerkFest to Toronto and can’t wait to share the vibrant energy and rich Caribbean experience with the city,”  shared Anthony Plummer, Founder and Executive Director of Caribbean Promotions Arts and Culture Inc. “This weekend promises an unforgettable Caribbean celebration in Toronto. We hope everyone enjoys our sensational headliners, interactive chef demo tents, and contributes to our charity initiatives to help us make a positive impact.”

Kicking off the music festivities is Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist and New Edition’s frontman Johnny Gill on Friday’s R&B Night. Bringing the Caribbean vibes are Trinidad’s Queen of Bacchanal Destra, Roots-Reggae icon Luciano, and  Jamaican Dancehall sensation (Baby) Cham. The TD JerkFest stage will also showcase local talent from the winners and finalists from the Show Your Flow contest.

The weekend will be filled with trusted and returning food vendors and food trucks ready to serve up their signature dishes and showcase their culinary expertise to satisfy everyone’s cravings – from traditional jerk cuisine to creative plant-based dishes.

Attendees also have the opportunity to learn how to make mouthwatering jerk cuisine from demonstration Chefs, Leon Rowe and Nicole King during the interactive food demonstrations at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM.

Over the years, TD JerkFest has always given back to the community through scholarships, international donations and supporting local food banks. This year TD JerkFest has two initiatives for attendees to give back to the community:

  1. Customer Appreciation Hours: between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM attendees can enter the festival at a fraction of the entry price with the donation of three non-perishable food items to be donated to Afri-Can Food Baskets and Regeneration Food Banks.

  2. Helping Hands Jamaica: Donations can be made online to support JerkFest’s initiative to educate the next generation of children in Jamaica by helping to build a brand new school. Patrons who donate $20 or more will get a tax receipt.

TD JerkFest is a must-attend summer event on the Toronto festival calendar that brings together friends and families for an entertaining weekend of delicious cuisine, music, and family fun.
