AfroLife.TV Names Chief Content Officer

Former Turner Executive David J. Hudson named Chief Content Officer

LOS ANGELESJuly 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — AfroLife.TV is excited to announce the addition of its new Chief Content Officer, David Hudson.  David is an Emmy® Award-winning executive with more than two decades of experience in creating content for television and digital platforms. For twelve years he served as a vice president at TBS and TNT, seven of those years as Senior Vice President for Late Night and Specials with responsibility for oversight of late night shows including CONAN and Lopez Tonight.  He led the production, creative development, and oversight of specials such as the Screen Actors Guild Awards®, the Emmy®-winning AFI Life Achievement Award, Christmas in Washington, and TBS Comedy Festival Specials.

In addition to his almost 15 years at Turner, David has a lengthy history of successfully producing alternative programming and specials for HBO, FOX, Paramount, NBC, and TLC. He has been a budgetary and creative consultant to organizations such as the Motown Museum, USA Networks, Discovery Channel, and Multi-Media Television. He created his own production company with the aim of fostering and developing highly informative and entertaining reality-based programming at a manageable price. “We are building a global corporation and in doing so, we need to attract only the very best leaders. David majored in TV Production and Film at Emerson College. He is highly regarded for his leadership, in-depth knowledge of methods and techniques in storytelling and physical production, and has a reputation for being collaborative and creating strong brand identity.
