Traditionally, women were comfortable with men who were a few years older, but within the past twenty or so years, women are settling with men up to forty years older than they are. Over time, it has been discovered that in as much as women love and admire young, cute guys, they greatly prefer the older ones. And although dating younger guys could be fun and exciting, ladies still prefer sticking to the older ones more than their age mates. When women date and marry men old enough to be their fathers, it brings up the question of whether there should be an upper limit to an appropriate age gap.
In our school system years ago, teenage boys would date girls in their age group, but the norm now seems that boys in grades 10 and 11 are dating girls from grades 7-8.
Let’s take a look at some of the important reasons why women chose older men as partners instead of young ones.
OLDER MEN ARE MORE ESTABLISHED AND SETTLED
Every woman wants a man who can properly take care of her and also assure her of a secure future. Men who are way older have most times passed the fundamental stages of life including stable career, sound financial standing and maturity in general. Ladies who want to settle down desire these things in their partners.
OLDER MEN ARE MORE EXPERIENCED AND INTELLIGENT
Men who are older have gone through lots of life experiences which have taught them quality lifetime lessons which make the expression true; “with age comes great wisdom”. Some of them are well learned with great education. Many ladies love hanging out with older men as there’s always something new to learn. More importantly older men are more experienced with relationship and sex. As a result of dating a number of women, studies have shown that older men have the ability to handle subsequent relationships better. They are also known to be very awesome in bed because their load of experiences give them confidence and make them more original which is the root of genuine sexual pleasure and satisfaction. By far, older men communicate better and know what they want and don’t usually hesitate to say it and stand on it. Older men have generally outgrown the age of seeking to impress their partner through pretense and childish bragging.
OLDER MEN COMMUNICATE BETTER
Older men are better listeners which is a great quality of a good communicator. Women love it a lot when their man pays attention to them, even when they are talking trash.
OLDER MEN ARE BETTER MANNERED AND MORE MATURE
Older men certainly exhibit more stability than the young ones, they exhibit better emotionally and temperamental stability. Apart from being very mature, they know how best to treat women, are more patient and tolerant. Since women need a lot of these, they are more attracted to older men. Older men are also more respectful, courteous and have not lost the most cherished standard old school manners like opening the car door, pulls out her seat at the dining table and doesn’t make jokes that hurt her feelings.
OLDER MEN ACCEPT AND APPRECIATE THEIR LADIES
Older men realize that true love is all about originality and not superfluity; acceptance and not change. An older man appreciates his woman and would only want her to get better rather than trying to change her.
OLDER MEN GIVE LITTLE OR NO COMPETITION
If you are dating an older man, the probability of sharing your man with another woman is almost at the zero level. This is because the man is emotionally stable and already knows what he wants. He doesn’t have the time to start seeking attention or notice undue advances from ladies other than his own woman.
OLDER MEN ARE HOMELY BY NATURE
Another good thing about older men is that they are cool and homely. They would prefer to have a good meal in their own homes instead of hanging out in a cozy restaurant from time to time. This will go a long way to shield temptations.
OLDER MEN ARE MORE COMMITTED WITH NO GAMES
The support, security and protection provided by older men can in no way be compared to the ones provided by a young guy. Older men have seen a lot of life and are no longer interested in playing games. They are more likely to ask for marriage and settle down for life with you, which is, of course, every woman’s heart desire.
OLDER MEN HAVE MORE TIME
Older men take it a pleasure to look their ladies in the eyes ever so often. Women dread this and that’s why they go for older men who are always ready to adore them and give them all the attention they need. While computers, Internet and social media are important, older men will strike the balance with their significant other.
OLDER MEN COMMAND RESPECT AND CONFIDENCE
Older men ooze confidence and command respect which is what every lady wants. This ranges from the way they dress, the way they speak, their carriage, their caring and supportive demeanor and everything about them altogether. Older men know themselves and don’t display insecurities, lack of clarity and directionlessness that many of their younger counterparts do. They are full of charisma and it is great to be around them.
OLDER LOOK IS UNIQUE AND ATTRACTIVE TOO
Generally, the physical appearance of an older guy is attractive in its own magnetic way. Their hair and beards spotted with grey hair, the mild age creases, the other things could be inviting. The older man would know how to tie a bow or a tie. They would also know how to look dapper in a tuxedo. You won’t need to redo their wardrobe which is a real possibility with younger men. They actually represent all the things mentioned here at a glance, maturity, wisdom, stability, experience, commitment, etc.
