EBONY MAGAZINE HONOURS QUINCY JONES

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ L-L Cool J says Quincy Jones taught him to be a man. Chaka Khan says Jones is “like an uncle, even a father.” Former U-S Secretary of State Colin Powell says no one is above being a groupie when it comes to Jones. Jones received the lifetime achievement award at Ebony magazine’s Power 100 gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Khan, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and Savion Glover performed in his honour.
