“Engaging The Aging …. Zeroes: 0-100 (Aging)” by Reverend Barrington Ludlow Soares.

Reverend Soares is a parish rector at St. Mark Anglican Church, Mandeville,  part of the Diocese of Jamaica And The Cayman Islands W. I.

This is the first book written by Reverend Barrington Ludlow Soares which examines the vexed issue of aging from a biblical and research perspective.  “I was approaching seventy and recalled that my mother that I loved very much had not lived to see her sixtieth birthday.”  The picture on my book cover is my grand baby and our hands resting on each other. Declared Reverend Soares, in an exclusive interview with Vision’s Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie.

The book is well written and the
research is extensive.

Bibliography

Note worthy is the vast number of acknowledgements and sources from which references and sources of information were taken. This bibliography underscores the depth of the research and the effort employed to give credit to the sources. In short the book covers all bases which is refreshing.

Expert Opinion On Soares’ Book

Quoting from the Forward written by Rev’d Dr. Adlyn White, Tertiary Education Consultant: “Written from the sensitive mind of a clergyman who it appears has had vast experience with care of the elderly. This book answers factually some of the questions which baffle those of us who care for elderly parents, spouses, or other relatives and friends. Highly recommended for all to read, especially young adults.” (pages 7 & 8).
