Haitian authorities burn 4.5 tons worth of marijuana, cocaine
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti _ Authorities in Haiti have destroyed nearly 10,000 pounds (4,500 kilograms) of marijuana and 57 kilograms (126 pounds) of cocaine seized in the past two years.
The government said in a statement Friday that the drugs were burned in the community of Ganthier east of the capital of Port-au-Prince.
Officials said the majority of the marijuana had been seized in Haiti‘s southern region
