Jamaica Elected as 1 of 3 V-Ps of the 77th Session of the United Nations
June 14, 2022 | By Colin O. Jarrett |Jamaica has been elected as 1 of the 3 V-Ps of the 77th Session of the United Nations, UN General Assembly from the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith has named Ambassador Brian Wallace as the country’s Representative.
“I am so pleased that Jamaica has been elected to serve as 1 of 3 V-Ps of the 77th Session of the #UNGA starting this September. Promotion of international peace and security; Sustainable devpt and Defence of human rights and dignity for all, remain hallmarks of our foreign policy.” tweeted Kamina Johnson Smith.
Brian Wallace is the Permanent Representative from Jamaica to the UN.
