James Earl Jones to receive Voice Icon Award; reflects on characters he voiced during career

NEW YORK _ James Earl Jones will be recognized this weekend for his voiceover career.
The 83-year old actor known for voicing Darth Vader as well as Mufasa from “The Lion King” will receive the first ever Voice Icon Award.
The new award ceremony sponsored by the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences will recognize top tier voice talent from television, film, video games, commercials and audiobooks.
Jones is starring on Broadway in a revival of “You Can’t Take It With You.” He’ll be honoured with his award Sunday night at the Museum of the Moving Image
