COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Montel Williams is continuing his efforts to legalize medical and recreational pot. The former talk show host has been working on the issue in Ohio with an endorsement of a measure to make the use of marijuana legal. During a news conference in Columbus Williams said medical cannabis can relieve the suffering of people with serious injuries or illnesses. Williams said: “Stop the stupid. Get the patients off the battlefield.” He says many Americans are either under-informed or ill-informed about the history of pot. Williams says he wants to see pot legalized so others can get the benefits he’s seen from using cannabis in fighting his multiple sclerosis.
