Racism In America – New Film Reveals The Untold History Of Our Nation

BOSTONMarch 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The film ‘An American Story: Race Amity and the Other Tradition’ explores the moral counterweights to the tradition of racism in America and how we can move together towards our nation’s motto – ‘E Pluribus Unum’.

Delores Huerta, a middle-class Latino activist, Fred Ross, a lead organizer of Saul Alinsky’s Community Service Organisation and Cesar Chavez, a gifted and charismatic advocate for Hispanic, Philipino and African-American field laborers, formed a close and loving friendship that gave birth to the United Farm Worker’s Union, improving the lives of millions. This thought-provoking, inspiring and emotional film tells the story of cross-cultural friendships that tackled racism and inequality in the past.

This racial amity has come to be known as ‘the other tradition’ of America and today, paves the way for us all to engage in positive discourse and action, in the current climate of national disunity.
