REGGAE ON EGLINTON, A 3 DAY CELEBRATION

Exco LevyParty for three nights of entertainment with 4 Time JUNO Award winner Exco Levi at Sankofa (1653 Eglinton Ave West in Toronto) on June 3, 4 & 5. The singer/ song-writer will be joined by musical giants Ammoye, Chester Miller and as Eyesus celebrates his birthday.

Billed as Reggae on Eglinton, the 3-day event will take reggae lovers on a musical journey featuring hits from Exco Levi’s extensive musical catalog. Bringing back memories with hits such as “Strive”, “Life in the Factory” and flashing forward with his 2015 JUNO nominated hit “Hello Mama”. Accompanied by his band HighPriest, Levi will surely have the crowd swaying and singing along to some of reggae music’s most unforgettable tunes.

Roots & Culture night kicks off the weekend with African Star, DJ Chocolate, Noble Works and XIXGON. They will spin from when doors open at 8:30 PM.

Night two is Saturday Night Live – Exco Levi and his band HighPriest will take the stage. Celebrating with Exco, is JUNO nominee Ammoye and Chester Miller with Hard Core Band. Night three is Dancehall Jam with performances by Dancehall Don Eyesus, Fire Lion and Don Dem. Selectors spin all night between performances.

Reggae on Eglinton will also be the outlet for some of Levi’s biggest announcements. Including his induction in to the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame. Other world class inductees include actor Alan Thicke and Comedian Russell Peters. The city created the program to celebrate local artists by recognizing those who have had distinguished careers in the arts. Levi will be honoured as a Performing Arts, Singer, Songwriter on September 24th, 2016 when his star on The Walk will be unveiled. The Brampton Arts Walk of Fame is located at Garden Square in down town Brampton.

Exco Levi’s has two big projects with June release dates. “Rasta Children”, a lead track on VP Records, Dennis Brown Tribute Album, is scheduled for release in June. “Rasta Children” featuring Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid is now available on iTunes. Also in blast off mode is “Siren”, the compilation project produced by Reggaeville and Oneness records. Reggae on Eglinton guests will experience the vibes and enjoy video clips of both summer sizzlers.

First 10 guests’ each night will receive a Country Man CD. Guest’s will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Exco Levi on all three nights.
