Richie Spice Releases New Album “Black Man Time”
International Reggae singer, songwriter and producer Richie Spice has today released his new album, BLACK MAN TIME which coincides with his Earth Strong, September 8th. Spice says his album is “preservation of Reggae music and more than just entertainment.”
BLACK MAN TIME, the artists 10th studio album, is produced by Spice himself on his label Richie Spice Music, which he describes as a major achievement. “It is the coming together and Unity of I and I.” The collaborations and messages on the 14-track album are organic. And the singer says there was no intent for collabs, but a natural vibration with Capleton and Louie Culture which lead to “These Are The Days” and “Young Juvenile.”
The Lion and the Lamb track speaks to unity and understanding each other so we can co-exist peacefully, whilst Young Juvenile – featuring Louie Culture is a narrative of grasping the generations as we create the future. Also on the album is Tea Bread – the world anthem which Spice has slowed down for a deeper understanding of the message. BLACK MAN TIME the album also features covers of Lionel Richie’s – All Night Long and Johnny Too Bad by the Slickers, originally from ‘The Harder They Come’ movie soundtrack.
Richell Bonner, better known as Richie Spice, is satisfied with his trajectory and journey from his first song Killing A Sound, produced by Dennis “Star” Hayes, in 1994. Also, from his debut album -Out of The Blue on the Island Jamaica Label, where he teamed up with the renowned Clive Hunt, from which came his major hit song “Grooving My Girl.” Clive Hunt is also a producer on the new album.
