The event will feature a collaboration of the local production team from Main Event and the production crews from Major Lazer’s Camp and Skrillex’s Camp to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime performance.

Diplo, the frontman of Major Lazer, had this to add: “Almost one year ago exactly, we kicked off our world tour in Kingston, and through the year, we have done so much work promoting our new album Free the Universe. The world tour is coming to an end and it’s extremely gratifying to be wrapping up where we started, in Jamaica.

“We love that we have support from the fans there and we couldn’t do anything without them. It’s important to us that we put on an amazing show, which is why this time we’re bringing our good friend Skrillex. This is our gift to try and do something new and amazing for the fans, with a show like this.

“We hope people are prepared! I know we are more excited for this than any other show we have done this year!”

The event is proudly presented by Red Stripe, and Brand Manager Erin Mitchell had this to say: “Major Lazer infuses Jamaican music with electronic dance music to create a sound that has taken the international scene by storm. Red Stripe is extremely excited to be the exclusive alcohol drinks partner of this show, which will not only introduce fans to the Major Lazer sound, but also our most recent innovation, Red Stripe Burst.

“We believe this concert will open the door for us to leave a lasting impression in an innovative and meaningful way and perpetuates our legacy of being a proud Jamaican brand that has always been involved in showcasing our culture across the globe.”

The event begins at 8 p.m. sharp and goes until 2 a.m. All drinks are included in the ticket price.
