The Brazilians showed their true worth when after a keenly contested football game against Germany, world Cup Champions did the almost impossible before an appreciative and biased Brazilian capacity filled Mariacana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil … Saturday August 20, 2016.
Despite all the accolades received by both renowned footballing nations, neither have gotten the Olympic gold in football. Either side that won would have gotten this title for the first …to say a lot was on the line would-be the understatement of the century.
It was a tense atmosphere in the stadium up to regulation time and wild Jubilation when Brazil scored the first goal 1 0 for Brazil. Later Germany scored. … now 1 1. No further goals were scored so it went into extra time.
Brazilian Superstar Myanmar scored the winning penalty. I am so proud of the South American team.
I was at the edge of my seat during the game.
Germany was no walk over …but the better team won. The Germans cried as their hearts were broken. The Brazilians cried for joy too. It was a very touching moment to witness as passions ran deep.
