Tasha T Gives Back To The Children
As the Musical Ambassador for Read Across Jamaica Foundation
Tasha T joined the12th Annual Bus Tour celebrating literacy in Jamaica W.I during Educational Week. Since 2003 the Read Across Jamaica Literacy Project has served over 25,000 students and provided over 50,000 books and school supplies to children of Jamaica.
On May 4, 2015 the bus tour made its first stop at the Portsmouth Primary School in Portmore where she read to the students and offered words of encouragement. From Portmore she travelled to Mustard Seed in Kingston where she visited and read to more delighted children. Excited about the first leg of the tour Tasha T said “the students were great and we had lots of fun.” After a successful first day with Ja’nice Wisdom, CEO of Read Across Jamaica Foundation, they sorted books and supplies for the next round of school visits.
