TD JerkFest Toronto Shines Light on Local Talent With Show Your Flow Contest in Partnership with FLOW 98.7

From Gospel to HipHop, GTA’s Finest Artists Gear Up to Take the TD JerkFest stage!

Aug 2, 2023 (Toronto, ON) –  The much-awaited 2023 TD JerkFest Toronto is thrilled to announce the names of the talented finalists and winners of the “Show Your Flow” contest in partnership with Flow 98.7. The Show Your Flow winners and finalists will showcase their talent and take the TD JerkFest stage from August 11-13, 2023 at Centennial Park in Etobicoke – 256 Centennial Park Road.

“We are so proud of the overwhelming submissions we received for the ‘Show Your Flow’ contest,” shared Anthony Plummer, Founder and Executive Director of Caribbean Promotions Arts and Culture Inc. “TD JerkFest Toronto has always been committed to promoting and uplifting local talent, and this contest provided the perfect platform for these artists to shine.”

The Show Your Flow promotion was announced on FLOW 98.7 encouraging local artists to enter the contest by submitting a live video from seven genres: Gospel, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, R&B, and HipHop via email to the JerkFest talent team.

During the voting process, finalists submitted a promo video that was shared on JerkFest’s social media pages where fans and supporters played a role in voting online for their favourite act.

After deliberation and a fan inclusive voting process, the TD JerkFest team finalized the following artists as this year’s Show Your Flow finalists and winners:

• Dale Brown – Gospel Winner

• Ayla Rodney – R&B Winner

• HNDFLL – Soca Winner

• Jônelle – Reggae Winner

• Rico Bam – Dancehall Winner

• Silla – Afrobeats Winner

• Mezziah – Hip Hop Winner

• Krystal Voice – R&B Finalist

• Marriott – Hip Hop Finalist

• Kevin Adams – Gospel Finalist

The finalists were chosen based on their stage presence, confidence, audience engagement, appropriate attire, good vocal tone and pitch/dance moves.

The winners and finalists of the Show Your Flow contest are offered an opportunity to showcase their skills and perform in front of thousands at JerkFest, which draws in attendees from all over. The winners receive a monetary prize of $750, the runner ups will also receive a cash amount.
