Three police officers Arrested

Since we last reported on the arrest of four police officers in the United States on drug related charges. One female has been released who is the wife of one of the police officers. There have been further developments since then on this developing story. The released female was returned to Jamaica. On return she was interrogated by police.

Affidavit

The US said in an affidavit filed in court by a Special Agent stated that a computer print out showed a travel pattern of one of the cops which is similar to those in the drug trafficking profile. A binder was found in the bag of one of the suspect cops, that he identified as his. A folder was found in the said bag which had a white substance which tested and found to be cocaine. It is alleged that a female constable Gooden said she was to be paid 2000 US dollars to carry the purse … she accepted because she wanted the money. They searched her phone with her permission and saw a whatsapp message.

Gooden, Davidson and Graham are the three arrested.

The acting deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey with responsibility for crime stated:

“What I can say is I can confirm that three of our midst have been arrested … we cooperate with our international partners. Once there is evidence we will go where the evidence goes. We will arrest any one even our own. In any organization of 12,000 you will find criminality. We are on a drive… the Commissioner has set up an anti-corruption drive.”

The three arrested Jamaican cops will face the court shortly in the USA.

We will update you as the case unfolds. We wish them a fair trial. It is all so sad. Please note that we are all assumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
