VYBZ KARTEL TRIAL: Kartel Called Victim Several Times Before Murder

Vybz Kartel murder trial in the Home Circuit court took a drastic turn when the prosecution revealed text messages allegedly from Clive Williams, Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm and others.

Yesterday the prosecution revealed more text messages from the victim and also Shawn “Storm” Campbell.

The Crown, headed by attorney Jeremy Taylor, revealed in court telephone records showing Vybz Kartel making several calls to Clive “Lizard” Williams on August 14 and 15, 2011, the day before the alleged attack at the deejay’s house in Havendale, St. Andrew.

Detective Corporal Shawn Brown, who made a PowerPoint presentation about of thetext messages, revealed in court cell site evidence showing where the calls were made.

According to Brown, several phone calls were made between Vybz Kartel, Clive Williams, Shawn Storm, and the prosecution star witness.

Brown show the court the approximate area where the calls were made and received including a 4 and half minutes call from Kartel to Williams.

Vybz Kartel defense attorney Tom Tavares-Finson is expected to cross-examined Detective Corporal Shawn Brown tomorrow in court.

Prosecutors say that Williams was beaten to death by Vybz Kartel, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams over two missing firearms.

His body was never found.
