Former British Virgin Islands Premier Andrew Fahie Indicted on Three Charges
May 13, 2022 | Colin O. Jarrett | Former British Virgin Islands BVI Premier Andrew Fahie has been indicted on three charges of which carry a maximum life sentence of 20 years.
Federal prosecutors filed the three-count indictment against Andrew Fahie and co-accused Oleanvine Maynard and her son Kadeem Maynard on Wednesday. In addition to the possible prison terms, the three accused could also have their assets seized.
The indictment also calls for the forfeiture of any property belonging to the defendants derived from the conspiracy.
The premier of the British Virgin Island, whom U.S. prosecutors described as “corrupt to the core,” was given a $500,000 bond that could see him released from prison as he awaits trial on charges tied to a U.S. narcotics sting. https://t.co/vBWh6xuELF
